I did not expect this, though I doubt few who wind up in this "Paixao" do.  Still... I have a feeling.  There is something dark lurking behind this sparkling landscape.  A "so called mayor" with people in black coats in charge.  Obviously the black coats are the ones running things.  That is how things usually go.  I will have to look into this further.

Perhaps more troubling is the fact that we are trapped here.  The dimensional gatekeeper has no way to get to this place, despite the fact that almost all doors are open to her.  If the people in charge of this place have sway over that matter, it implies that they are far more powerful than could first be imagined, especially if they are able to keep Laharl here.

Laharl...  I must admit I was surprised to find him here, and Etna as well.  Hmhmhm... I suppose it's back to old "rivalries" then.  ...Although I am truly beginning to hate that horrible nickname he has given me.  Not that I didn't hate it before, but it seems to be coming to strike back at me with a vengeance.

In any case, I should get to investigating these "black coats."   I think I shall follow Laharl's advice.  What better way to begin?

How curious... I assure you, however, that I do not intend to take anyone on as of now. It would be rather foolish of moi to do so without even knowing the lay of the land, after all. And I have yet to get their side of the story.
